2/4/2021-Received my S2 yesterday. Very easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Shows up on my garmin connect on my iPhone. Appears well made and is appealing to look at. The metrics show up on your phone (weight, change in wt, BMI, body fat %, skeletal muscle mass, bone mass, body water%). Not sure how accurate it is but best to use as a trend vs as true numbers. Overnight last night my weight went down 1/2 pound and %body water went down several % and body fat went up several %. Clearly the two indices are linked in the calculation. The only reason I gave 4 stars is no one else can use the scale in your house unless they have garmin connect and you invite them. Once they accept your invite you can see all their data. If someone doesn't want you to see their weight (spouse, et cetera) than that doesn't work. And if anyone weighs themselves on the scale that isn't on GC it will show up as your weight on garmin connect. It is not clear to me why Garmin would make it so difficult for others to use the scale. In most households people just want to step on the scale and use it, not have to worry about downloading to their phone (which I personally like).LOve this product, its easy to use, it integrated very easy to my Connect App.I absolutely love the scale. Over the last year I’ve had my garmin watch, I’ve continued to use my old Fitbit scale. Finally I decided it was time to update my scale, and man was it an upgrade.I love all the data this scale gives you. Everything from your body fat to the weather for the day. I will advise on setting your active class at 10 for the most accurate readings thought. Scale works great with the app, Wi-Fi connectivity is a breeze. Best scale around, and I’ll probably be getting one as a gift soon.Body fat percentage isn’t accurate. I weigh 212 am 6’2”, workout 6 days a week consistently, have abs and I got this scale to keep track of body fat as part of my routine and when I stepped on for the first time it put me at 26%. I might be crazy but it felt pretty high for how I look/feel. If I’m dead wrong and am actually 26% then I apologize but I just don’t think it’s right. Hope this helps and let me know if anyone else experiences something similar!I love the look of the scale and the data I can get. I have been a Garmin user for years, so when it was time to upgrade my scale I thought "yes, I can get the Garmin scale"!I have a new Android phone and my hubby has a newer iPhone. We had issues getting either phone to connect, and then it was impossible to get both of us to be able to use the scale without resetting it - and our apps. I contacted Garmin and was told this was a reported issue, that they could not fix the issue, and let me know I could return the scale since I only wanted it if it could track both of us. What a bummer.I'll keep U updated.1: yes it was cumbersome to hook up to wifi. Then once I did my garmin app wouldn't see my garmin 1030 cycle cumputer. It took a lot of manipulation but I finally got the app to recognize both units.2: the biggest unresolved problem is the accuracy and the way it turns on. Ok here we go. I store the this unit in a area so other people won't screw around with it. So everytime I set it up it turns on, it zeros itself then shuts off right away. So I step on it again to wake it up then I get an hourglass icon then the display goes dim awhile an hourglass is still displayed then it shuts itself off (again). So I wake it again, it comes on and is zero'd in I guess BUT IT DOESNT REGISTER PROPERLY. it could read over 5 lbs more then I should. Then I repeat the startup and I read (it could be) 5 lbs less, 1 lbs more, 2 lbs more, then 3 lbs less. In otherwords, ITS ALL OVER THE PLACE. This is supposedly $200 technology. I bought this so I could have the data transfer directly to garmin but my other (old) scale is so much more accurate AND LESS FINICKY ! And it only cost $70 with an accuracy of +/- .5 pound. Which I think thats what this is supposed to have. But with my unit it +/- 2 or 3 lbs ! (And no I didnt forget the decimal point). So, I returned this 1st one in hopes of a more accurate instrument. I will update as soon as it arrives and tested. We are Garmin loyalists with several family members using their watches. I wanted to love this scale as we’d tried another brand and returned it. I like the scale but we had trouble setting up our 4 family members and had to reset it several times to eventually get everyone synced properly. Now that we are set up it’s great! The measurements trend accurately as far as I can tell.Coming from the S1 I expected it to be pretty much the same. First thing I noticed was that 3 readings on weight had 5lbs variation in the span of an hour. My S1 has never had issues like that and also matches weight on triple beam type scales.Body fat also registered more than double what it was on the S1, I figure that is always inaccurate on these things, but checking the forums there is a lot on this topic and comparisons with DEXA scans. This scale just spits out the average for your age. The S1 seems to match a bit closer what I would expect based on subjective things like exercise amount, my weight and physique. The one basic task this scale is supposed to do it can't do reliably and the additional features are junk.Love my other garmin stuff but I returned this thankfullyEs un producto fino, de optima calidad... la uso de diarioBaja presicion para el precio. La regrese.Buen producto de calidadMe gustó lo prometido, frutante su inoperancia! Mala compra.
