This is a review that needs an update 1 year from now. Since installed 3 days ago the quality and performance was abouve my expectations. And i expect alot. At time of purchace i needed a throttle body due to my factory one at 19 years old started to fail. The idle controll valve was failing and cant be replaced as they are built into the throttle body. The throttle body for this car, BMW e39 540i's, depending on mnfr'r, can be upwards of $1,000 plus. Dealer $600 so at thiz price i gave it a shot. After 3 days so far im impressed and saticefied with the performance. Please note this is a review after 3 days of use, maybee 300 miles. I have gone through various driving styles with this throttle body and it has performed well with no issues. My car idles smooth and accelerates better than the 19 year old factory TB. But again long term performance and reliability i have yet to discover. Also not enough mileage has passed to see if i have better gas mileage. So that i dont know either. But i do reccomend this throttle body for sure to purchase to have on hand if you have an older throttke body and you plan a trip. For a little more than $100 its well worth it to have incase of TB failure. This will definately work and work well.
