Update: The scale still looks good with minimal cleaning. it EATS BATTERIES. Way more than my previous impedance scale. And you need an itty bitty screwdriver to open the battery compartment.REALLY BAD FEATURE: If your weight fluctuates it has a tizzy fit and stops working for awhile.When I first got this--my second impedance scale, the first having broken from wear and tear--I was thrilled with how beautiful it is. I had been worried about the clear glass looking smeary, but so far that hasn't happened. When I went to set up the profiles, however, I could not make this new scale work. I was following the instructions and the pictures, and was about to send it back as defective, when I figured out it was the manual which was defective, not the scale! Luckily, I found the small print where it directs one to a website with a video which made everything clear. It's easy to set up, after all. WATCH THE VIDEO.There is a purpose to the beautiful curves. It allows for the feet of many different sized people to use this same scale. The low profile adds to the beauty and makes it feel especially steady and secure.
